Totally new! And confused! And excited! - Trickster Online - English Version
Totally new! And confused! And excited!
Hello! I am Henada both on here and on Trickster, and I joined only two or three days ago!
I'm enjoying the game so far, although I must say, that I find aspects of it very confusing. I've spent six or seven years playing the MMO Ragnarok Online, and have found that it is both very similar and very different then Trickster. I need to relearn a whole new game, and have this nagging voice in the back of my head that remember RO and is confusing me. @____@
( At least that is my excuse. xD )

Right now I just have a Dragon, because I at least want to know how the hell to work this game before making another character and whatnot. ( Ill post his information and all that jazz on the thread provided by the admin. Ja. )

Sooo, this is my introduction! I am very happy there is a Trickster community on LJ. I won't feel so pathetically alone. xD

Current Mood: nervous nervous
Current Music: Alpha Rats Nest- The Mountain Goats

Trickster is very much like RO in the fact that, look up a guide for stats, and stick with it. Deviate from the path and your pretty much screwed...well you'll have to shell out some real world money for a stat reset if you want a do over..but if you have no money.....

The place it deviates is that your almost forced to party. Dragons are WEAK, they will get mauled by baddies. Though their magic is strong, they need someone to take the hit. Otherwise you'll be grinding for EXP....like in RO.

Currently my Dragon has been hung up as he can't really level anywhere. I have a fox I was building up, but she too suffers from getting whomped.

Not to scare you away from the game, but those are the problems I've encountered playing those classes myself.

And did I mention that the quests are sometimes next to impossible?

Wow~ Thank you for being so straight with me! xD
Do you think I should do another class first? I mean, if Dragons are one of the harder classes to level? It sounds like I should get used to the interface and leveling system before working on one of the more difficult characters. :/

Aaand... Do you know of any places with good guides? ^^; I looked at a couple, but they were really vague. I am unsure what to do with 'bonus points' that I get as I level.
Sorry for all the questions, but thank you for talking to me!

Well, that's the thing about Trickster, how it's much like RO. 99% of the guides are for specific builds. Like Mana Arrow Dragon, and they basically tell you where to put your points for stats and skills and when. Similar to RO for like...a Atk. Speed assassin you dump 5 points in Dex at this level and need your katar mastery up to X at this level.
If anything one of the Melee classes might be a better start since they are more or less, point kill types. As mages always usually need someone around.

Also, the game gets very grindy if your not in a party. :< Which I can never seem to get parties. Though if you have a party, everything goes by pretty quick :).
